Why Sylkis?

Our entire range of silk offerings bears testament to this unwavering commitment, being crafted from 6A grade – a classification signifying the utmost in silk purity and refinement.
At the core of this silk narrative lies the continuity of mulberry silk, an unbroken fiber cultivated by the industrious silkworms of the Bombyx mori moth. These silkworms are reared on a strict diet of mulberry leaves, yielding a silk variety renowned across the globe for its unparalleled magnificence.
Mommes (mm) - (pronounced ‘mommy’), is a unit traditionally used to measure the quality of silk fabrics. This parameter dances within a spectrum stretching from 12 to 25 momme units (with 19 momme and above as high quality). Sylkis solid-hued silk pillowcases are made from 22 momme silk, while the patterned prints are 19 momme silk.
Different weight Silks are used for different purposes as they drape and feel different according to the weight / momme count.
For pillowcases, a lower count momme has less silk in the weave and therefore more friction. The friction is precisely what accelerates the ageing process, so a higher momme count is essential.
By contrast, a momme count which is too high becomes too thick, and is unable to drape as well. A very high momme count which contains too much silk for skincare feels very stiff and is uncomfortable against facial skin.
We have tested other momme counts and found 22 and 19 momme silk are the best for skin and hair.

How long will it take to ship out my order?
All orders are packed and shipped from our warehouse in Singapore. Orders will be dispatched within 1 to 3 working days.
How long does shipping take and how much will it cost?

Standard Shipping
- Estimated delivery timeframe is 3 to 7 days.
- Orders $68.00 and above qualify for Free Standard Shipping.
- Orders below $68.00, the delivery fee will be $4.99.
- Order before 2pm to get it the next day. Orders made after 2pm will be delivered the following day.
- Example: Order made on Monday, 11am - receive on Tuesday. Order made on Monday, 3pm - receive on Wednesday.
- Next Day Delivery fee is chargeable at $30.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship to most countries. Shipping is calculated during checkout. Recipients of international shipments may be subject to import taxes, fees, and customs duties, levied by the customs office of your shipping destination. For international shipping your order may take up to 14 - 21 days to be delivered.
Can I make changes to my order after I've placed it?
We strive to deliver your order to you the soonest thus any edits is not allowed. Please be sure to review your order before submitting.
